Our opinion on the Liamone Beach
Liamone Beach in Casaglione is located north of Ajaccio in the Gulf of Sagone. This long sandy beach stretches several kilometres and is divided into two areas (the northern part is located in the town of Coggia) at the river of Liamone. In summer, this beach has a first aid station. Caution, it is deemed dangerous because of the currents. Every year, several people end up drowning on this beach.
To get to this beach from Ajaccio, take the direction of Sagone by the D81. Go past the hamlet of Tiuccia then drive for 2 km. At the end of the big curve, one begins to see Liamone Beach. Park along the road; several pedestrian passages lead to the beach.

It is a long sandy beach stretching over 3 km in the Gulf of Sagone. Two municipalities share this beach.
This is the southern part of Casaglione Beach before the mouth of the Liamone, which separates the beach in two (the northern area is called San Giuseppe Beach). On the left, there are bunkers in the rocks.
This beach is very large and the background of the beach is preserved. There are two restaurants.
This beach is well protected from the road by a few dunes. Several trails lead to the beach (on foot).
This is the mouth of the Liamone (visible on the right in this photo).
