Piana is a village located in the department of Corse-du-Sud, in the Gulf of Porto. This destination is famous for its coastline and especially its creeks (coves), which are very beautiful. They are located between the village and the forest of Piana and crossed by the Dardo stream, which provides narrow and sometimes breath-taking landscapes. Located about ten kilometres away from Porto, they are undoubtedly one of the wonders of the island of beauty and declared a World Heritage site for 30 years. From the ledge, the view of the red granite carved by erosion is spectacular.
The village is located opposite Senino and Scandola peninsulas (away from the waterfront, which is difficult to access) and is among the most beautiful villages in France with its white houses and the beautiful church of Santa Maria. There are many excursions available and the hiking trails including those of Capo Rosso and "castle" are accessible to all. One can also go for a cruise in the coves or relax on Arone Beach, a paradise covered in fine sand. Ficaghjola marine also has a lovely beach but it has to be earned since one will reach by the sea or by a steep path. Porto Beach is located near the beaches of Piana, dominated by the Genoese tower and the marine of Porto. The beaches of Cargèse and Ajaccio are further south.
