The town of Tiuccia is a small seaside resort in southern Corsica, located thirty kilometres from Ajaccio in the town of Casaglione. Family-oriented, it offers many activities and beautiful beaches in the Gulf of Liscia. Once an observation and defence post in Roman times, it is now a popular place for strolls, which mainly lead to the castle ruins of Capraja.
There are several beaches in Tiuccia. The very big Liamone Beach is the most popular, which is accessed by the road going up to Sagone. Large enough so that swimmers do not suffer from the attendance, it is sometimes a popular surf spot on days when the sea is rough. In the center, there is a nice sandy beach with amenities. Around it, some small coves supplement the selection.
Other resorts, as pretty to discover when strolling around, surround the village as well as hilltop hamlets that have kept their authenticity. Renno is the highest in Corsica and the fairs of "A Tumbera" are very famous. Rezza is a very friendly typical Corsican village and offers many orientation and discovery courses. Liscia Beach, less than 5 kilometres from Tiuccia, provides a nice stretch of sand and opens on the Valley of Cinarca.
