Located north-west of the center of Cancale, on the road to Saint-Coulomb, Saussaye beach is one of the most beautiful coves of Ille-et-Vilaine. Confidential and especially frequented by locals, this beautiful sandy cove offers a cliff landscape near the tip of the Moulière. Access is a bit difficult from the parking (we have a slightly steep path) but the reward is there when you enjoy this sandy beach away from the crowded beaches of downtown. On the other hand, it is necessary to be careful because it is not watched and considered as dangerous by rough sea.
To get to this beach from Saint-Coulomb, take the D201 towards Cancale. After the beach of Guesclin (in front of the fort), follow the departmental road for 3.5 km. Then on the left, we have a small road that goes on the left (a sign indicates the beach). Small parking at the end but quickly complete in summer (we park along the departmental road). Then walk to a small path (5 minutes walk).
