There is a big sandy beach bordered by a pleasant pedestrian promenade in the city center of Courseulles-sur-Mer. It begins at the mouth of the Seulles (next to Maison de la Mer, at the port) and stretches to the pool (just before the racecourse). There is a first aid station in summer. There are many restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. It is also known as Juno Beach (landing beach of June 6, 1944).
One has to follow the directions of Maison de la Mer to reach this beach. It is next to a free car park.
