In the centre of Pirou, there is a lifeguard station in the summer season around the Robert Louis beach. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility (the launching dock and seawall promenade). At high tide, the beach is very small (especially the north side) and at low tide, the sea withdraws for several kilometres. However, there is a sea water swimming pool making it possible to swim at low tide. Several restaurants in Pirou-Plage. Several free car parks near the beach. Note that dogs on a leash are allowed on this beach.
