South of Pirou, there is the Bergerie Beach, one of the most untamed beaches of the resort that stretches north to the village and south to the haven of Geffosses. Bordered by the towering dunes of Pirou, this beach has an untamed environment with very few buildings (there are some oyster farms in the vicinity). However, swimming is not supervised. At low tide, mainly people come for shore fishing.
To go to this beach from the centre of Pirou-Plage, take the D650 towards Gouville sur Mer. After 1.5 km, turn on the right towards the Bergerie on the D432. Parking is near the beach access.
