South of Havre de la Sienne, in the Norman Manche department, Montmartin sur Mer is known for its rock (it has been used for the elle Alexandre III bridge in Paris) but not for its coastline ! However the latter has totally been preserved and is virgin of any construction. Only sand, dunes and a vast playground for multiple activities : sand yachting, kite, walking or fishing on foot. For bathing, it is more disfficult … at low tide the sea retreats very far … On the other hand, the landscapes are sumptuous with a point of view on the Agon tip which closes the Havre de la Sienne (there are many pre-salted sheep), on Cancale in Brittany on the opposite bank and on the Channel Islands of Jersey.
The main beach of Montmartin is used in July by a musik festival organized by an association.
Near Montmartin, the beach of Hauteville brings security for families with its first aid station. We can also go to Gouville sur Mer to discover its bathing cabins on the dunes or the beach of Saint Pair sur Mer which is equipped of a sea water pool.
