Our opinion on the Barre Beach
Barre Beach in Anglet is the northernmost beach of the seaside resort,at the mouth of the Adour River and the beaches of the Landes. This small sandy beach (with gravels - see picture) is in a resort with many attractions. There is a large ice rink, a lake, restaurants, a large skate park and the Izadia ecological park.
This beach is monitored in July and August.
There is no problem to find a parking space; there is a large car park between the Adour and the ice rink.
The site is also pleasant to stroll around.

The sandy Barre Beach is in the foreground and behind the dike of the Adour.
Along this beach, there is a nice promenade, which leads to the district of La Barre with the ice rink and restaurants on one side and the center of Anglet on the other.
The ocean is often rough in this part of the Basque Coast.
On this beach, there is no fine sand but a mixture of sand and small gravel.
The ice rink of Anglet is located a few steps from the beach.
Near the beach, there is a large skate park.
