Tarnos’ Digue Beach is the first beach south of the Landes department. It is located at the breakwater of the Adour and near the port area of Tarnos. This long sandy beach extends to the north to Metro Beach (via a military zone - shooting training field). You will find there a lifeguard station and a beach-soccer pitch. This beach is also widely used off season for many sporting events.
To get to this beach from the centre of Tarnos, take the D81 for 2 km (Avenue Lenine) and turn left on Avenue Jaures, continue for 1 km. Turn right on Avenue Sémard. Continue for 200 meters and take rue des Dunes. This road turns slightly to the right and becomes the route de la Barre. Continue for 1.4 km along river Adour. Ample parking is located on the beach.
