Tarnos’ Metro Beach is located north of the town. It extends to Ondres north and to the south as far as Adour (boundary between the departments of Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques). This large sandy beach is supervised in the summer season in the area closest to the car park. It is possible to practice the Beach-Soccer (two pitches are available). Note that naturism is tolerated on this beach but, in practice, naturists use a beach further north called la chapelle (about 1 km near the Chapel, after the bunker - however bathing is prohibited in this zone).
To get to this beach from the centre of Tarnos (away from the waterfront), take the D810 and then turn on the D81 (Avenue Lenine). The beach is about 2 km away (free parking next to it).
