Beaches in Anglet (64600) France - advise, map and photos

The seaside resort of Anglet, located 30 km north of Spain and only a few kilometres from Biarritz, is a real paradise for vacationers. 4.5 km of sand stretches on either side of the small seaside town, from the beaches of Biarritz to the beaches of the Landes. In store, there are large stretches of sand along a beautiful promenade connecting the Adour (border with the departments of Landes and Pyrenees Atlantiques) in the center of Anglet through dunes and lawns where one can enjoy the sun of the Basque coast. In the center of the resort, there are many restaurants and activities in summer and a pleasant pedestrian promenade leading to the various beaches of Anglet (those north through trails along the dunes or south through the centre of the resort).

The different beaches of Anglet are monitored in summer and it is strongly recommended to swim near the aid stations because the ocean can be rough in this area despite the construction of several dams to break the waves. The various beaches are also quickly deep. There are also kids’ clubs.

There is also a seafront golf course in Anglet (visible from the dunes to the seafront promenade), and a large resort at the mouth of the Abour (north of Anglet) with an ice rink, restaurants and beaches.

Near the beaches, there are several pine tree forests with picnic areas and fitness trails. Nice relaxing sites.
