To the east of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, below the American cemetery, there is the untamed beach of Saint Laurent. Bordered by dunes and hiking trails, the environment is sublime. It is in the Omaha Beach area but away from the tourist bustle related to this historic site. The bravest can even visit at low tide the beach in Colleville sur Mer on the sand (also a trail in the hills). However, be careful, the beach is not supervised and a sign indicates that it is dangerous at high tide (strong currents and holes).
Several car parks are available at the end of the 2nd US Division street, near the bunker.
