Beaches in Roscoff (29680) France - advise, map and photos

Former corsair haven, Roscoff is appreciated for its mild climate (just visit the exotic garden…) and the preserved charm of its downtown. There are still some beautiful houses of old shipowners with decorated facades and a watchtower (vestiges of the old ramparts). The visit of the church of Notre-Dame-de-Croaz-Batz with for decoration its caravels and its guns reminds us that Roscoff was in competition with Saint-Malo…

We find several beaches in Roscoff with different orientations which allows to choose one always sheltered. The main one and the beach of Roc’H Krou mis supervised in summer and is equipped for the people with reduced mobility.

Roscoff is the starting point for ferries to Great Britain and Ireland. Offshore, the island of Batz is a must step (15 minutes by boat) with some nice strikes.

Roscoff is also a destination for thalassotherapy.

Nearby, there are many beaches in Saint Pol de Léon with its small islet of Sainte Anne. But it is the beaches of Carantec which seem to us the most interesting with its Callot island accessible at low tide.
