Located between Roscoff and Plouguerneau, north of Brest, on the “Côte des Légendes”, Brignogan-Plage is a small seaside resort of the Finistere Nord. More up-market than its neighbours, its rugged coastline is of exceptional beauty.

There are numerous beaches in Brignogan, mostly composed of fine sand. Close to the town centre, there are several beaches including that of the Petit Nice with its beautiful Breton houses (rare on the Côte des Légendes). More untamed, Chardons Bleus Beach is recommended for lovers of peace and quiet. Phare Beach (at the limit of Kerlouan) is often cited as one of the finest in Brignogan. But the liveliest beach is that of Crapauds (it is named after a granite rock shaped like a toad) and is the only beach in Brignogan to have a lifeguard station in the summer season.

Nearby, the beaches of Kerlouan are beautiful with many granite rocks (probably the most impressive of Finistère Nord). Goulven Beach with its large bay is one of the most beautiful places of the area of Leon. Further west, Roscoff resort is more lively and the beaches are more interesting. Those of Plouescat are more natural.
