Port Vendres’ Fourat Beach (or Del Forat Beach) is in the coves of the Paulilles. This is the third beach of the coves (on the right) and the least known. In the summer season, it is still uncrowded and an ideal spot for those seeking peace and quiet. It is also a good place to practice scuba-diving. Unlike the two neighbouring coves, this one is not supervised.
To get to this beach from Port-Vendres, take the direction for Banyuls sur Mer. At the round-about of Paulilles, turn right towards the car park. Several paths allow you to reach this cove. The cove is on the right former dynamite factory’s chimney.
