Port-Vendres’ Bernardi beach is one of the must-to-see coves of the “Côte Vermeille”. It is located in the Bay of Paulilles south of “Cape Béa”, alongside two other coves. The environment is typical of this part of the “Pyrénées Orientales” with rugged coastlines in a vineyard setting. Note that the site is protected (Natura 2000). The beach is supervised in the summer season and consists of gravel and sand (which stretches for approx. 170 meters).
To reach this beach, take the D914, direction for Banyuls-sur-Mer. At the roundabout of Paulilles, take the second on the right to access the carpark (free small carpark). Various trails allow access to the coves.
