The small seaside resort of Sagone is known for its rich history and beautiful beaches, which attract many tourists every year. Prehistoric monuments are still visible, but nothing remains of the time when the village was attached to Italy. It is located in the valley of Liamone, thirty kilometres north of the city of Ajaccio, which one can reach via the beautiful coastline road.

Holidaymakers are attracted by the 4 sandy beaches of Sagone, those of Castellu, Sagone, St. Joseph and Santana, authentic havens, which have remained wild and preserved. There are also many creeks, which is why one should not hesitate to cross small paths, which sometimes hide areas worthy of the most beautiful beaches in the world! The Calanque of Piana and the Reserve of Scandola, World Heritage of the Unesco, are a nice boat ride away from the port of Sagone. Altitude lakes, rivers, forests and small typical villages are must-see, as well as the canton of the two Sorru.
