Ficajola Beach (or Ficaghjola) is one of the few easily accessible coves in the heart of the creeks of Piana. There is no need to take a boat to access them (unlike the others), a road winds through them (about 15-minutes drive) to a small car park. It ends in a short path (about 15-minutes on foot, 800 meters) to finally arrive in an original cove where there are on the side a few old fishermen huts. The view of the Gulf of Porto is great. The beach is divided into two areas, one is sandy and the other covered in pebbles.
To get to the cove from the centre of Piana, turn right after the church on D824 towards Arone. After 1 km turn right towards the marine of Ficajola (D624). The road is steep and very narrow. There is a car park upon arrival. The path starts at the end of the latter to reach the cove. There is a small bar on the trail near the car park and toilets on the car park.
