Located in the department of Upper Corsica, Lumio is a seaside resort of the coast of Balagne, between Calvi and Algajola.

From the tops of Capu Bracajo, which dominates the village, to the island of Spano going through the natural maritime site of Punta di Spanu and its coast, it is an enchanting landscape waiting for bathers and nature lovers.

Standing on a hillside, surrounded by bougainvillea, the municipality dominates the bay of Calvi. Seaside, the navy of Sant’Ambroggio allows to practice pleasure cruising. All around, there are many beaches and creeks at Lumio ! One of the most beautiful place is without a doubt Punta di Spano, which is accessed by a small path from the navy. It is an isolated point dug out of a small cove, with nice round rocks and a stuning view on Calvi and its citadel. The beach of Arinella and the following creeks are also heavenly ! Among the things not to be missed, the Saint-Pierre-et-Paul chapel, which dates from the 11th century, and which has beautiful decorative patterns. From Lumio, a one hour and a half walk round trip to the hamlet of Occi, abandoned but offering a stuning panorama, will fill the hikers.
