The village of Palasca is located in Corsica (North) in Balagne at the beginning of the desert of the Agriates. This village is famous for long Ostriconi Beach and dunes. It is classified great scenic spot. The setting is beautiful with the mountains in the background. This is also the starting point of the coastal path of the Agriates, which links Ostriconi to St-Florent along 35 km of protected wild shores. There are many preserved sites to discover through scrubland. This hike has to be done over a several day period and should be organized!
One can visit the medieval village of Lama in the valley of Ostriconi (capital of the micro region of Ostriconi), perched 450 meters high and classified green station. The old neighbourhood is worth a detour with terraced houses on the rock and vaulted passages. There are also some Florentine-styled houses. One can hike around Monte Asto, which offers superb views from Balagne to Cap Corse after a 6-hour hike (round trip). Those looking for peace and quiet can swim in the pool in Lama, which is on a hillside.
