Our opinion on the South Beach
The South beach of Mimizan stretches south of the Mimizan Courant and extends for several kilometres towards the Petit and Grand Etang of Maillouèyre and Beach Lespecier. For a beach that is close to the city centre, the environment becomes rapidly untamed and uncrowded. This beach is under lifeguard supervision during the summer season.
To go to this beach, you have to cross the Mimizan Courant southbound. Car parkings exist along Avenue de l’Ocean, and there is also an ample parking at the end of this avenue.

This vast beach south of Mimizan spans several kilometres on the left bank of the Mimizan Courant. Only the area along Avenue de l’Ocean comes under lifeguard supervision in summer.
