Our opinion on the Courant Beach
The Mimizan Courant beach reaches up to town centre on the river dividing the town into two zones (north and south shores). This current is an outlet from Landes lakes (mainly that of Aureilhan but also of Biscarrosse). On the north shore of Mimizan, a beach has been equipped with a lifeguard station. Calmer than the ocean, densely populated in the summer season.
To go to this beach from the north of Mimizan, take direction south. Just before the bridge, you will find a small parking area (on bridge street).

Located on Mimizan Courant, this small sandy beach is regularly used.
This beachis located near the “pont des Pêcheurs”.
On the south shore, there are also a few beaches along the Mimizan Courant (not under lifeguard supervision).
There is a lifeguard station on this beach.
