St Aubin sur Mer’s Saussemare Beach offers a totally preserved ambiance a few hundred metres from St Aubin in an accessible cove. Hidden away, it is mostly frequented by locals and surfers (they practice kite surfing and windsurfing on windy days). At low tide, the shingle beach gives way to a vast expanse of sand. The landscape is typical of the Albâtre Coast with its high cliffs.
To reach this beach, take the street of La Mer at the crossroads in the centre of St Aubin. After 150 metres, turn to the left on the road to Saussemare (the road becomes narrower). Near the sea, there is a small free car park to the right with access to the sea.
