Pietranera Beach north of Bastia (more precisely in the municipality of San Martino di Lota on the road to Cap Corse - 3.5 km away from the centre of Bastia) is a small family-oriented pebble beach little known to tourists. Away from the main road, it is easily recognized by the large rock in its centre. On the right side, there is an aid station (opened in July and August) and an old tavern. Access to the beach is via a paved road and a ramp.
To get to this beach in Cap Corse from Bastia, go north on D80 (Cape road). Pass through Palagaccio then before getting to San-Martino-Di-Lota, in the locality of Pietranera, you will find a car park after the turn on the right. Just after it on the right, there is a road going down towards the beach (Flenu path).
