Located near Patrimonio and ten kilometres north of Saint-Florent, the little hilltop village of Farinole has two beaches, one is covered in pebbles and the other in sand. The latter attracts large crowds in summer because it is the only sand beach on the west coast of Cap Corse. Both beaches are easily accessible by car and are therefore very popular with families with children. Note that swimming can be dangerous when the mistral is blowing because they are very exposed to the wind. A Genoese tower separates both beaches.
The marina of Farinole is located nearby, a typical small port in Cap Corse.
There are also vineyards in Farinole belonging to the “appellation contrôlée” status of Patrimonio. The proximity to the beaches of Saint Florent and Cap Corse makes Farinole a pleasant destination in green surroundings. It is ideal for nature lovers and walkers.
