Ostriconi Beach in Corsica is located north of Calvi at the beginning of the Desert of the Agriates. This beautiful sandy beach about 700 meters long has dunes and is one of the wildest beaches in Corsica. This is the starting point (or point of arrival) of the coast footpath of the Agriates. Ostriconi River is in the background of this beach (visible in the photo).
This beach is supervised in summer. However, it is not advisable to swim when the sea is rough because it is famous for being dangerous and the currents will carry you offshore.
To get to this beach from Calvi, go in the direction of Bastia and Palasca (on the left at the turn - the beach is indicated). On the RN1197, take the old national road and park there. Paths lead to the beach (steep slope). Note that dogs on leash are allowed.
