Our opinion on the Paracou Beach – La Chaume
Paracou beach in Les Sables d'Olonne is located in the district of Chaume, along the wild coast. The beginning of the beach (in the park) is supervised in summer. The coastline is more rugged in the north with many rocks at the water's edge. At low tide, swimming is not easy; people mostly come for fishing on foot. It is easy to park thanks to the large car park. Trails allow one to go north towards the dunes of Aubraie, which is a very pleasant walk.
To get to this beach from the centre of Les Sables d'Olonne, go in the direction of North and St Gilles Croix de Vie. After the port on the D87 turn left at the roundabout (at the level of Super U), towards Paracou beach (8 may 1945 Road). At the next roundabout turn right and follow the road on the left from where you can reach the beach car park.

Located along the rugged coast, Paracou beach is actually a succession of little coves, more or less rocky. People come here mainly to sunbath or to go fishing on foot.
There are many rocks at low tide, which make it difficult to swim.
There are trails along the beach. They are also very nice to walk on.
There is a large free car park along the beach.
