The seaside resort of Saint-Florent, located in the Nebbio region in Corsica, south of Cap Corse, is one of the chicest destinations in Corsica. It is often described as a small Saint-Tropez. This is a casual destination. There are several beaches close to the Gulf of Saint-Florent.
In the old town, there are cafes with shaded terraces in the main square of Doria. There are trendy areas in Saint Florent in the port, on the platform of honour. The Genoese citadel is also a must-see.
One also comes to St. Florent to enjoy the beaches away from the crowds that are inaccessible by car and difficult to reach on foot. A boat will take you to Lotto Beach in a corner of the Agriates desert (about 30 minutes). It is a long stretch of fine white sand in turquoise water! It is in Corsica on a paradise island! Nearby, Saleccia Beach, accessible from the previous beach, offers a beautiful stretch of sand in an even wilder setting.
Around St-Florent, many localities are worth visiting. The small wine village of Patrimonio is known for its guitar festival taking place in the outdoor theatre in mid-July. For a bit of originality, one can go to Nonza Beach with its grey sand.
