Our opinion on the Mine Beach
North of Bourgenay port, in the municipality of Talmont Saint Hilaire, you will find Mine Bay on the edge of Mine woods. This part of the coast is very rocky, however there are some areas where you can relax on the rocks and pebbles. For swimming, it is better to go to Talmont, but this one is suitable for those seeking peace and quiet.
Note that there are many paths along the coast and the woods making pleasant family outings.
To get to this bay from Sables d'Olonne, take direction for Talmont southbound. After the roundabout leading to the aquarium, continue on the D129 for 200 meters and then take the first road on the right (dead end street). The car park is at the end of this road and the bay is on the right.

In Mine Bay, there is a beach in Bourgenay wood. Very nice for family walks, a little less, in our view, for swimming.
Between the rocks, there are few natural coves with some sandbanks.
At the edge of this coast, there are trails. In the distance, Payré point (behind the cliffs, at the centre of the picture, we see Bourgenay port).
