In the department of Vendée lies the small resort of Longeville-sur-Mer. Located on the Côte de Lumière near the Marais Poitevin, the town is divided between wide sandy beaches and pine forests. The Bouil, Les Conches and Le Rocher are hamlets attached to the resort where we can find for example one of the most famous surf spots in the region, Bud. Longeville sur Mer’s beaches stretch for over 7 km and are well supervised.
From the road to Conches in Angles, you can observe the many species of wild birds including storks. Longeville is also known for its crops of potatoes and tulips, which grow in the sand.
The coastal forest is crossed by 7 marked trails, a fitness trail and a nature trail that can be explored by foot or bicycle. It is also possible to explore the area in canoes and boats, during long walks in the Marais Poitevin.
Nearby there are many beaches at La Tranche sur Mer with a vast coastline of over 13 km. In the north, we find the star resorts of the Vendee: Les Sables d'Olonne and Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. We can also make a getaway from it all to the Ile d’Yeu where there are beautiful sandy coves.
