Talmont Saint Hilaire Veillon Beach is located south of the resort and extends to the mouth of the River Payré. This vast sandy beach extends for over 1 km and is divided into two zones. The north (at the car park) is reserved for swimming with a lifeguard station in the summer season, a surf school and beach restaurants. The south is an area to practice kite surfing with the remains of the World War II landing site. The beach is lined by a large dune (however it is forbidden to walk on it). Behind there is the Payré (bathing is prohibited).
To go to this beach from Les Sables d'Olonne, take the direction for Talmont via the D129. At the Bourgenay roundabout (you pass the tourist office), follow the signs to the beach (D4A). The car park is located 1.5 km further on at the end of the road.
