The beach in the Bay of Cayola is located south of Château-d'Olonne, on the edge of Talmont St Hilaire. The main one is located in the county and stretches several hundred meters. It is covered in pebbles and there are many rocks at low tide. There are a few hidden creeks in the bay north, towards the tip of Cayola, along the wood of St John. They are narrow with sandbanks. They are mostly frequented by connoisseurs looking for peace and quiet.
To get to these beaches from Les Sables d'Olonne, go to Talmont on the seaside road (D32B). Go past the wood of Saint John after Moines Cove. When the road reaches the seafront, on is in the Bay of Cayola. There is a small car park along the road. One can also park on the beach at Moines Cove and reach the beach via the coastal path.
