Our opinion on the Vieux Moulin Beach
There are a few small sandy beaches in Old Mill Cove (Vieux Moulin Beach) 900 meters away after the car park of Puits d’Enfer. This part of the wild coast is very rugged, bathing is very difficult if not inadvisable but the place is unusual and makes a nice change from the large sandy beaches in Vendée. These coves and beaches are often bears the name of beaches of Parée.
Go to Château d'Olonne on the seaside road from Les Sables d'Olonne. Go past Lake Tachet and the car park of Puits d'Enfer. The cove is located a few hundred meters away.

Old Mill Cove is located South of Château d'Olonne after Puits d'Enfer (deep hole in the rocks of the Wild Coast). There are sandbanks but swimming there is not very interesting.
The environment is very pleasant despite the proximity of the road.
