Labenne-Océan large sandy beach is supervised in the summer season. Access is via the Avenue de la Plage (road that joins the sea front). There is a large free car park with shops and seasonal restaurants. The lifeguard station is located on the left. The beach stretches for several kilometres towards Ondres and Capbreton but only the central part is authorised for swimming. The North and South access are blocked by barbed wire (so you can only access the most untamed areas by walking on the beach - swimming is very dangerous outside the surveillance zone because of the strong currents). On the promenade, a playground is provided for children.
Please note that dogs are allowed outside the supervised swimming area (towards Ondre Ocean or Capbreton). Please note, this is only a tolerance for an order prohibiting animals in the Pays Basque and the southern Landes.
