Marchand Beach is shared between Bray-Dunes and Zuydcoote. Totally wild, this beach is bordered by a natural protected site that is managed by the coastal conservatory. Bordered by huge dunes covered in dune grass (a rare plant that accepts to be covered in sand), this sand beach offers a great setting for lovers of nature and those looking for tranquility. We can also see a few blockhaus and several wrecks that can be seen at low tide.
Note that this beach does not have a lifeguard and swimming is the risk and peril of those who wish to take a dip. Dogs held on a leash are tolerated on the beach (but not in the dunes or the paths). We can also practice sand yachting here.
To get to this beach from Bray-Dunes, simply go to the west. The beach begins at the edge of the dam after the nautical center. We also find a small parking lot at the intersection of avenue de la Liberté and rue du Large (then a path leads to the beach).
