Our opinion on the Malo les Bains Beach
The main beach of Malo les Bains Beach extends from the central first-aid station (intersection of avenue de la Mer) along the dam. This vast sand beach is bordered by bathing huts (rental at the tourism office). This zone has a lifeguard during the summer.
The central part is very animated with many restaurants and cafes. The pedestrian promenade is a plus and we can even join Leffrinckoucke by foot. However, the view to the left is not very nice with a panorama of the Dunkerque harbor.
Traffic is heavy in the summer. Parking is rather difficult downtown.

Agreeable shore for this Dunkerque beach (Malo les Bains) with beautiful houses and many bathing huts. The beach is immense.
To the left, we join the extremity of this beach. We have a view of the harbor.
To the right, the beach extends for several kilometers toward Leffrinckouke and Bray-Dunes. Note that there is a nice pedestrian promenade which allows us to join Leffrinckouke.
Along the beach we find several bathing huts (rental from the tourist office).
The beach is handicap accessible with wooden ramps.
Across from avenue de la Mer, we find the main first-aid station.
Downtown, we find several restaurants.
Near the shore, we find many parking places. However, certain areas are closed in the summer.
