Our opinion on the Zuydcoote Beach

Only a few kilometres from the Belgian border, we find the beach of Zuydcoote. The seafront in this area is well preserved with only a few streets back from the beach and some campsites (there is also the marine hospital that specialises in functional rehabilitation).

The beach is supervised in the summer season and has access for people with reduced mobility (a ramp). It is also a spot for kitesurfing or sand yachting.

Heading west (towards Malo les Bains), at low tide, some wrecks and blockhouses can be seen. Attention, naturism is not allowed on this beach.

To the east, we joined the dunes of “Marchand” (via the dunes or the beach). Several car parks are available.

This view from the beach access at Zuydcoote shows its vastness to the north. However, at low tide, the sea is a bit far away.

To the south, the beach stretches over several hundred meters in a totally untamed environment bordered by dunes. Leffrinckoucke Beach is easily reached on foot. At low tide, you can even see several wrecks and bunkers.
