Fourneau Beach is at the city limits of St Pair sur Mer, which is located in the town of Granville. It is an extension of St Nicolas Beach, and the largest beach in Granville. It is little known and access is not indicated. It is not monitored and doesn’t have any toilets but the environment is pleasant. The view of the port of Granville and the cliffs on the right is beautiful (one must not get near it as there are rockslides). The resort of Saint-Pair-sur-Mer is on the left within walking distance.
To get to this beach from the center of St Pair sur Mer, follow the D911 towards Granville on 500 meters. Beach access is on the left (no car park) at the crossroads (sign indicating the entrance into Granville). Turn right and then immediately right in the direction of the campsite of La Vague in order to park. There is a free car park on the right.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach from June 15 to September 19.
