Carolles Beach is probably one of the most picturesque areas in Granville and the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. The beach is an extension of Jullouville Beach (the Edenville district coincides with Carolles but in the town of Jullouville), and is bounded to the south by the cliffs of Carolles (there are pleasant walks to be made). The beach is supervised in summer.
Beach huts are lined up on the promenade, which reminds us that this part of the Channel coast was busy in the early 19th century, when sea swimming was fashionable.
There are a few shops as well as restaurants and cafes on Carolles-Plage Square. The beach is accessible through a slipway (possible access for disabled people with assistance).
Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach from 15 June to 15 September.
