Beaches in Soustons (40140) France - advise, map and photos

Nicknamed the "Pearl of Marensin" the small resort of Soustons, in the Landes department, is located in an exceptional environment offering holiday makers a beautiful 6 km long beach and many trails in the largest forest of France. Nature is very important, the greenery is everywhere and lovers of walks will enjoy the parks of Pandelles and Pointe des Vergnes and many lakes that surround the town (including those of Hardy, Blanc, Pinsolle) ... Soustons is known to have been one of the residences of François Mitterrand but also for the amount of activities it offers: sailing, surfing, canoeing, rugby ...The golf club of Pinsolle, on a lakeside, is one of the prettiest in the area.

The long beach of Soustons is a famous surf spot; surf schools allow you to learn and have fun safely. It is very crowded in the summer season, but Port d’Albret is the most popular for families and for practicing sailing.

Summer markets are an opportunity to discover local products every Thursday and Friday night and on Mondays in the square of the Arena.

Vieux- Boucau beaches are only a few kilometres to the north (the marine lake of Port d'Albret is shared between the two towns). To the south, we can go on one of the 4 beaches of Seignosse.
