Vieux-Boucau is a seaside destination located in the department Landes, near the towns Hossegor and Seignosse. Like its neighbors, it is a well known surf spot.

Its landscape is wild and varied, going from the dune that borders a long beach and to the forest of pines that hide many trails passing by the marine lake of Port d'Albert which is shared with Soustons. This is a peaceful and tranquil haven and the little isle that can be found in the middle welcome many species of birds. Vieux-Boucau attracts many lovers of nature and families that are charmed by its seaside destinations that propose a vast choice of activities and numerous shops (it's one of the most important destinations in Landes).

We find three beaches in Vieux-Boucau: Central Beach is the most popular and well protected by the dune, Lac Marin and Sablères. Other than surfing, it is possible to indulge in the joys of fishing! “Belot” Basque (a card game) and the folklores of Landes can be discovered during the day and evening events organized during the summer, but you might enjoy the show of the “courses landaises” – an ancient form of bullfighting – that is always impressive!
