Our opinion on the Cousteuyers Beach - Marine Lake
Soustons’ Cousteuyers Beach is located on the marine lake of Port d'Albret between Vieux-Boucau and Soustons-Plage. It is not supervised but it is popular because there are several holiday residences in the area (e.g. Pierre et Vacances residence). It offers a beautiful view of the beaches near the lake but also on the dunes of the ocean beaches which are just a few hundred meters away.
To go to this beach from Soustons-Plage, take the D652 (Route des Lacs) and then turn left at the roundabout towards Port Albret, North entrance. After 200 meters, on the left, there is an access to the lake (pedestrian and bicycle only, no car park).
