The small seaside resort of Plouha, known for having distinguished itself during the Second World War by its resistance activities, is a rich heritage destination. Built on a wild coast, it mixes landscapes, valleys, forests and moors and offers a generous and preserved nature which is particularly popular with hikers. Nothing like the strengh of iodized air at the top of the cliffs to regain its energy and a walk on the Blanchardeau botanical trail to observe the sight of seabirds.
Located in the north of Brittany, Plouha offers pretty views over the bay of Saint-Brieuc, the coast of Penthièvre…There are several beaches in Plouha : Bréhec, Bonaparte and the cove of Porz Moguer that appeal to families like thrill seekers. The beach of Palus is composed of pebbles and that of Gwin Zegal ideal to taste mussels and oysters. This is where one of the oldest port of Brittany is ! The neighboring communes offer the same type of advantages and several coves to discover at the discretion of the trails. And if we have a little time, a visit of Saint-Brieuc is essential !
Just a few kilometers further south, there are the beaches of Saint Quay Portrieux which are more family-friendly than that of Plouha.
