The seaside resort of Saint-Quay-Portrieux, a few kilometers from Saint-Brieuc, is a popular spot for its harbor which hosts fishing and pleasure boats during the summere season. It attracts many visitors in April during the Scallop festival, one of the specialities of Saint-Brieuc bay. They also like to walk in the village to discover the calvary of Louais street, listed as a 15th century historic monument and Sainte-Anne chapel but it is the miraculous fountain of Saint-Quay who is the star of this place to its virtues for the healing of wounds.
The beaches of Saint-Quay-Portrieux are very popular, near the Comtesse island. The Casino beach is very popular, the one of the Châtelet has a padding pool and is protected by the cliff, not to mention the view of the tip of the Isnain ! Comtesse beach offers the same assets and Grève Noire beach has a darker sand. Facing the port on the beach, that of the Portrieux, smaller, is less crowded and quieter.
A walk allows to discover on the marshes the Ville-Mario, old castle which remains the wall of enclosure.
