Our opinion on the North beach

North (Nord) Beach in Berck starts near the Eole Club (a club for sand yachting, canoe, kayak, and kitesurfing). This is where we see the division between the urban world and the completely wild beach with developed dunes.The buildings are far from the beach.

The most southern area (near Eole Club) forbids swimming. It is reserved for the practice of kitesurfing. This area is reputed for beginning with the Baines which form following the tides that form a shallow area of water, but dangerous for swimming because of the currents.

This beach is also used for sand yachting. We can easily join Merlimont, the neighboring resort. We advise this beach for taking a walk. Swimming seems dangerous due to currents. Those who wish to swim should go to the central beach with a lifeguard in the summer.

The most southern zone is visible in this photo and is reserved for kitesurfing. The zone extends for about 400 meters to the Calot Hospital, which can be seen in this photo.
