The small seaside resort of Ghisonaccia, located halfway between Bastia and Bonifacio, offers a seemingly endless wide stretch of sand. The village is set back from the sea, backed by the hills of Fiumorbo. Its architectural interest is limited. Its coast is worth a detour (it is called Costa Serena and stretches about 60 km south) and even a long stop for those looking for peace and quiet while enjoying the beautiful beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The beaches of Ghisonaccia are away from the village (about 5 km). In fact, there is a long uninterrupted sand area stretching several kilometres. The various areas offer completely different scenery. On the northern part, around the pond of Urbino and at the edge of the forest of Pinia, there is a long white sand beach. It is the wildest of the town. One can access it easily through public trails. Vignale Beach, located in the center, at the edge of the county road, is one of the few monitored beaches in summer on the eastern coast in this area. Going south, there are several vacation centers bordered by beautiful beaches but they are less wild.
