Aleria is a resort located in the department of Haute-Corse (Corsica), in the region of Serra. It offers holiday makers a wide long coastline of 12 km and consists of sandy beaches only interrupted by the mouth of the Tavignano. The town is sandwiched between two lakes, the lake of Diana and of the lake of Urbino. The first is famous for its production of oysters that can be enjoyed on site.

All around the mouth of the Tavignano, the nature reserve offers many quiet areas and stunning views of the land and the sea. The Costa Serena, where Aleria is, consists of many other beaches including that of Ghisonaccia and Linguizzetta. The landscape of this latter varies between vast sandy beaches with lagoon, lakes and marshes.
