South Beach in Quend stretches several kilometres towards the beaches of St Quentin en Tourmont. There is a vast completely desert stretch of sand bordered by beautiful dunes. The beach is not monitored, so be very careful while swimming but the place is paradise.
There is a first access at the end of Amiral Courbet (paid car parks, there are toilets there). It can also be accessed by rue Capet (a few free parking spaces).
Note that naturism is tolerated on the beach about 1 km after the nautical center southbound (the benchmark is a bunker almost entirely buried in the dunes).
Dogs on leash are allowed on this beach.
