Saleccia Cove in Monticello (not to be confused with Saleccia Beach in the desert of the Agriates) is a small sandy beach near the park of Saleccia just 4 km from the beaches of Ile Rousse. This little known cove has the advantage of not being very busy in summer (see our photos taken late July). However, there is a thick layer of Posidonia (it shows how wild it is). The environment is very pleasant.
To get to this cove from the center of Ile Rousse, take the national road 197 towards the desert of the Agriates (north). The entrance to the park of Saleccia is located at the end of a great bend, on the right (signs indicate it). Park on the left along the road. There is a trail. Please note that dogs are allowed on the beach (no bylaw).
